i am libra sun, rising, mars...i can not make a decision to save my life! I do have a capricorn moon that grounds me but I think it adds to my incessant worrying....there are good things about all this though :) I am very creative and have lots of people in my life who I love and who love me! Does anyone else share ALOT of libra??

I was speaking with a new friend and he was saying he could totally feel the Libra energy coming from me. I never really know what people mean when they say that. I just take them at their word. What traits do you believe you have that is Libran? Perhaps that can help me identify the Libra within me that seems to just bubble out all the time.

Everybody seems to like Libra Ascendant natives. They just come across as nice, pleasant, and fair. Look a little closer at their lives, and these nice people may have had quite a few problems in their relationships. Some of them have had a string of relationships, and it can be hard to imagine why! These natives attract others to them effortlessly. Besides, they simply don't know what to do with themselves without a significant other.

Libra rising generally appear to be smoothing everything over. They have charming smiles, a gentle approach with others, and an easygoing image. Even if they were not endowed with good looks, they are attractive. Most pay a lot of attention to their personal appearance -- the colors they wear, their hair, the way they walk.

Libra rising people can be enormously persuasive, although they will almost always use a "soft sell" approach when they want to win others over, which is all of the time! A tendency to pass the buck and keep up that "nice guy/gal" image are their worst qualities. However, they can make excellent mediators and will generally be the first to accommodate you.

Naturally with an Aries Asc., the signs are in the natural houses that they rule...

So what do you experience being a Libra Asc. and the sign switched to the opposite house? I always thought out of all Asc., Libra is interesting, just in that regard.

do you think that makes for our rep as 'wishy washy' I don't like the claim, but can understand why it is used. It's hard being able to see every side and view. And Asc. have a double dose it seems of 'seeing it from another view' with the house switch going on.

This is a quality about myself I connect directly to my Libra ascendent! In situations around me, I just simply have to find the deeper meaning behind other people's reasoning and decisions!! It takes all of my energy to put that aside and walk away without knowing--something I'm barely if ever able to do.

The fact that this can be harmful to myself aside. The fact that I sometimes just have to throw up my hands and yell "I'll just never know" aside as well...

As Libra Ascendant people, we all currently have Jupiter lighting up our 1st house. Which means it should be an excellent time for getting out and being seen and having lucky events appear in our paths. Anybody have a good story to report on how Jupiter has made life easier these past six months?

Ok, my fellow lazy asses who never speak, I have a question for all of you. Well, more of a comment that I’d like feedback on.

Being a Leo, I’m already an expert on everything, and beauty is one of them. Now, add the Libra rising and I am one picky bastard, far more picky than I have any right to be, IMO.

This comes up a lot, at work, out with friends, anywhere really. A pretty girl will walk by and every other male is salivating, but I say “maybe she’s a 7” and they all are aghast at my hubris over what they consider to be a twelve at least!

I was wondering if any of you are particularly picky, or if not that, maybe just very aware of the aesthetic sense of the opposite sex? Anyone?

Dependency in relationships

You do have a tendency, however, to become overly dependent on your partner and perhaps not to develop a clearly defined identity outside of the relationship. Finding the balance between being yourself and blending and uniting with another is a challenge for you.

The above excerpt was from the first post to this tribe describing Libra Rising. I have discovered over my last 3 relationships that when I fall in love with someone or commit myself to someone, I lose myself in that person and want only to please them, do everything for them. Do other Libra risings have that problem?

Energy sensors

So, I was curious how energy effects each of us. I was in a friends house the other day and she had admitted to me she had done a lot of energy work to make the space as positive as possible. I noticed that I just kept talking and talking and talking. When stepped outside, the energy became instantly more heavy. I feel that the energy of her place contributed to me talking so much, activating the airy qualities of my Libra Rising.

So, has anyone else noticed energies of different places effecting them in different ways?

They seem to play their act through more aggressive individuals. They dislike being alone. They usually can't make a stand on something on their own because they want peace and want to be fair. However, there is another type of Libra-Libra Ascendant who can't do anything without dragging a lot of other people into it on their side. They find themselves when they find their partners.

With Aries-Aries on the 7th house cusp, they learn to associate with a partner and to try to understand what partnerships are all about. The person needs to learn to adjust to the partner's desires also, learning that they both need to come to some kind of balance in the relationship. They develop refinement with this position and become peaceful and loving. When they find their partner, they find themselves.

Second Decanate (Libra-Aquarius): They project charm and sociability and a desire to please people. Even so, they retain an independence that doesn't show at first. In love, they are ruled by their minds rather than their hearts. Their natures are very creative, and their creative talents show very original flairs. While they need partners for their personal self-projection to be more effective, they have a tendency to fluctuate between being attached and being detached, which doesn't exactly give lasting success in this department of their lives.

With Aries-Leo on the 7th house cusp, there can be arguments with a marriage partner even though this person really does not want to fight. In fact, there may be arguments concerning his or her friends (perhaps there are too many friends). The arguments come because the 7th house individual sticks up for his or her rights, and possibly the rights of the friends.

One young lady with this ascendant was born a twin. Her sibling was frequently sick, while she was extremely healthy. During a regression session, she discovered that she felt it was all her fault somehow. She felt guilty and a little one for being healthy while her twin suffered, and felt she had robbed that twin of vitality before birth. Her twin's sickness upset and worried the whole family, and would happen quite unexpectedly. She described her feelings at that time by saying, 'I felt that somehow I was not nice enough. I decided that if I was a better person, somehow my twin would be all right. I decided to 'fast' on fun. It was my penance. If I didn't have any fun and I didn't let myself do anything that was not nice, my twin would be okay. I just didn't feel right about enjoying myself. I bottled up my love nature. I wish I could just love freely, but I've never felt clear about it. I could never ask for anything for myself; and sometimes I felt I was acting in a counterfeit way. Many times, the Libra personality has difficulty in realizing his true identity. He may never have to learn how to stick up for himself. He was mystified, but still worried that if anything happened to him, she would be unable to care for herself. The singer ultimately realized that her passive behavior was her way of including her divorced mother in her life, as she felt protective toward her. It seemed easier to let her mother and her husband do things for her, as it seemed to make them happy; it was easier in the long run. With awareness, she began to take a stronger position in the management of her own career and was pleased to notice the positive changes that resulted.

Libra rising may not like to be around too many people. He can feel more comfortable in small groups, and prefers intimate social situations to masses of people at any one time. He can easily blend with and adjust to two or three people; but when there are too many personalities, he feels pulled and scattered.
